The Event
A Title Defense on the World Stage
The FAI F3A World Championship brings together the leading precision aerobatic pilots and national teams from around the world. Each country selects its team through its national process, and the championship determines both an individual world champion and a team world champion.
For the United States, the 2027 championship is a title defense. Team USA won the team championship in 2025, and Andrew Jesky enters the event as the reigning individual world champion.

What the Pilots Fly
Built for Precision
F3A aircraft are purpose-built for precision. Under current FAI rules, the models are limited to 2 meters in overall span and 2 meters in overall length. The pilot controls the aircraft from the ground and must place every maneuver accurately despite wind, distance, and changing conditions.
Flights are judged maneuver by maneuver. Judges score the quality of each figure, including geometry, positioning, smoothness, accuracy, and visible errors. As the championship advances, the schedules become more demanding and the room for error gets smaller.

P-27 + F-27: Watch the Sequences
The 2026–2027 F3A cycle uses the P-27 preliminary schedule and F-27 semifinal/final schedule. The team will spend the months leading to Korea refining those sequences, preparing equipment, and practicing under as many conditions as possible. These are the sequences Team USA will spend hundreds of practice flights refining.
